Spicy jalapeño corn casserole with creamy butter and cream cheese - a Thanksgiving must-have!
Ingredients:
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 (15.25 ounce) cans whole kernel corn, drained
  • 3 canned jalapeno peppers, chopped, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a casserole dish.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt cream cheese and butter together on high for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Transfer the luscious cream cheese mixture into a spacious skillet. Introduce the milk and flour. Let it simmer over medium heat, stirring now and then, until the mixture thickens, which should take about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Mix together corn and jalapeño peppers in a bowl, then fold them into the creamy cheese sauce. Season with salt and thoroughly blend. Transfer the mixture into the casserole dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes until lightly browned.
