Elevate your party with simple, flavorful guacamole - perfect for dipping or topping tacos for a delicious upgrade!
Ingredients:
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime or lemon juice
  • 2-4 tablespoons minced red onion or thinly sliced green onion
  • 1-2 serrano (or jalapeño) chiles, stems and seeds removed, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro (leaves and tender stems), finely chopped
  • Pinch freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 ripe tomato, chopped (optional)
  • Red radish or jicama slices for garnish (optional)
  • Tortilla chips , to serve
Instructions:
  • Prepare the avocados: Halve the avocados, remove the pit, score the flesh, and scoop it out using a spoon. Transfer to a bowl.
  • Roughly mash the avocado flesh with a fork until slightly chunky.
  • - Season to taste: Sprinkle with salt and lime (or lemon) juice for balance and to prevent browning. Add chopped onion, cilantro, black pepper, and chili peppers gradually, adjusting to desired heat level. Personalize the guacamole to suit your taste preferences by following this guideline.
  • For best results, serve immediately. To prepare in advance, cover the guacamole with plastic wrap pressing down to seal it and prevent browning. Garnish with red radish slices or jicama strips. Serve with store-bought or homemade tortilla chips. Store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add chopped tomato right before serving to preserve its flavor. Enjoy the recipe?
