Indulge in a fresh and gooey homemade banana pie with a decadent warm caramel drizzle.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (2 medium)
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup Cool Whip frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, if desired
  • Caramel topping, warmed, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch glass pie plate with shortening or cooking spray. Combine bananas and lemon juice in a small bowl; set aside.
  • Combine all ingredients except for the whipped topping, walnuts, and caramel topping in a medium bowl. Mix well. Add the banana mixture and stir until combined. Transfer the mixture into a pie plate.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely for about 1 hour. Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours until chilled.
  • Top the pie generously with fluffy whipped topping, then scatter a handful of crunchy walnuts over it. Just before serving, drizzle a generous amount of gooey caramel topping over the pie. Remember to store it covered in the fridge to keep it fresh.
