Salmon, asparagus, onions, and Swiss cheese baked in a delectable pie.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb asparagus spears, cut into 1-inch pieces (2 cups)
  • 4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese (6 oz)
  • 1 can (6 oz) salmon or 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained, flaked
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to a mouthwatering 400°F. Grease a 9-inch pie plate, then arrange asparagus, onions, 3/4 cup of cheese, and salmon in the plate.
  • Mix all the ingredients until fully combined, then transfer the mixture into a pie plate.
  • Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese, then bake for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese is melted. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
