Impossibly Easy French Apple Pie

Make delicious apple pie with easy Bisquick® mix and a crispy, nutty topping. No rolling crust required!
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups sliced peeled apples (3 large)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons firm butter or margarine
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F and generously grease a 9-inch glass pie plate. In a medium bowl, combine the apples with cinnamon and nutmeg, then transfer the mixture into the pie plate.
  • Combine the remaining filling ingredients in a medium bowl until thoroughly blended. Pour this mixture over the apples in the pie plate. In a separate small bowl, combine all streusel ingredients until a crumbly texture forms, then scatter it over the filling.
  • Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before refrigerating.
