Try our effortless pork and mushroom pies with Bisquick® mix, great for a quick and delicious breakfast.
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 lb ground pork breakfast sausage
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 cup)
  • 1 can (4 oz) mushroom pieces and stems, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh sage
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly coat 12 regular-size muffin cups with cooking spray.
  • In a 10-inch skillet, sauté the sausage and onion over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring often, until the sausage is cooked through; drain any excess fat. Let it cool for 5 minutes, then mix in mushrooms, salt, sage, and cheese.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the baking mixture ingredients until well blended. Place 1 scant tablespoon of the baking mixture into each muffin cup, then top with approximately 1/4 cup of the sausage mixture. Finish by spooning 1 tablespoon of the baking mixture on top of the sausage mixture in each muffin cup.
  • Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the tops of the muffins are golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes, then gently loosen the pies from the pan with a thin knife. Place them top side up on a cooling rack and cool for an additional 10 minutes before serving.
