Impossibly Easy Salted Caramel Apple Mini Pies

Delicious mini "apple pies" made with Bisquick®, apples, and cinnamon, topped with whipped cream, caramel, pecans, and sea salt. A delightful twist on the classic pie!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups peeled diced (1/4-inch) Granny Smith apples
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup sweetened whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup caramel topping
  • 1/4 cup chopped toasted pecans
  • Coarse sea salt, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper baking cups and lightly coat them with cooking spray. Combine the Apple Filling in a small bowl and let it sit.
  • Combine the Batter ingredients in a separate bowl and mix until well blended. Spoon 1 tablespoon of batter into each muffin cup, followed by 2 tablespoons of apples. Finish by spooning another tablespoon of batter over the apples in each muffin cup.
  • Bake until the center is set and the edges are golden brown, approximately 15 minutes. Allow the pies to cool for 5 minutes, then remove them from the muffin pan. For serving, keep them in the paper baking cups or transfer to small individual bowls. Finish by topping each pie with whipped cream, caramel sauce, pecans, and a sprinkle of salt.
