"Cheeseburger casserole with Tater Tots™ and Bisquick™ crust - a comforting, family-friendly dish that's easy to make, freezable, and perfect for feeding a crowd. Top with ketchup, mustard, and pickles for extra flavor!"
Ingredients:
  • 2 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onion (1 1/2 medium)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (12 oz)
  • 3/4 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 bag (32 oz) Ore-Ida™ Tater Tots™ frozen potatoes
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Grease a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish. In a 12-inch nonstick skillet, brown the beef and onion over medium-high heat for 8 to 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then transfer the mixture to the baking dish. Sprinkle 2 cups of cheese on top before baking.
  • Combine Bisquick™ mix, milk, and eggs in a medium bowl, whisk until smooth, then pour into a baking dish. Top with frozen potatoes before baking.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until potatoes are golden brown. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of cheese and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean (reaching 165°F). Allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Prepare the beef mixture and spread it in a baking dish. Refrigerate uncovered for 30 minutes. Sprinkle 2 cups of cheese over the beef mixture, then pour the Bisquick™ mixture on top. Cover the dish and refrigerate overnight. When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 400°F, uncover the casserole, arrange frozen potatoes on top, and bake as instructed. Top with cheese before serving.
