Crispy roasted chickpeas with garam masala and Indian spices - a flavorful and wholesome snack.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  • Combine chickpeas with a zesty mix of lemon juice, olive oil, brown sugar, and spices in a bowl. Evenly spread the flavorful chickpea mixture on the baking sheet.
  • Place chickpeas in the preheated oven and roast until they are dark brown in spots, crisp, and have shrunk, about 25 to 30 minutes. Stir halfway through baking. Allow to cool to room temperature before serving.
