Delicious spaghetti sauce made with a twist using chicken bouillon and seasoning. Let it simmer for the best flavor!
Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 (.18 ounce) packet chicken bouillon granules
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar, or as needed
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a pot over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the onion and garlic, sauté for 1 minute. Add the green bell pepper, herbs, and chicken bouillon. Mix in the tomato paste and crushed tomatoes, season with poultry seasoning. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Blend the sugar into the sauce. (For a slightly sweeter taste, use up to 2 tablespoons of sugar; I recommend beginning with 1 teaspoon.) Season with salt and pepper, then lower the heat and let it simmer for 3 to 4 hours.
