Irresistible teriyaki chicken wings cooked quickly in the Instant Pot® - ideal for parties or game days.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds chicken wing pieces
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1.5 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
  • Season the chicken wings generously with salt and pepper.
  • In a multi-functional pressure cooker set to Saute function, heat up sesame oil. Add chicken wings and garlic, saute until wings are golden brown on each side for about 2 minutes. Cancel the Saute function and transfer wings to a plate using tongs.
  • In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup water, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, and ginger, whisking until smooth. Pour the sauce into the pot, scraping any browned bits from the bottom with a wooden spoon. Return the wings to the pot and stir until coated in the sauce.
  • Secure the lid by closing and locking it. Choose high pressure following the manufacturer's guidelines and set the timer for 5 minutes. Wait for 6 to 10 minutes for the pressure to build up.
  • Follow the manufacturer's instructions to naturally release pressure for about 10 minutes. Then, quick-release any remaining pressure, and remove the lid to unlock.
  • Transfer the wings to a plate using tongs.
  • Combine cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Stir the slurry into the sauce and let it simmer on the Saute function until thickened, approximately 2 minutes. Turn off the Saute function, add the wings back to the sauce, and coat them evenly.
