Quick and easy Instant Pot French toast using pot-in-pot method. Enjoy with fresh fruit and syrup.
Ingredients:
  • 6 thick slices stale bread, cut into cubes
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or more to taste
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon butter, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, gently toss bread cubes. In a separate bowl, combine eggs, sugar, salt, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and milk. Pour the mixture over the bread cubes, ensuring everything is evenly coated. Let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Gently coat baking dish with a hint of cooking spray, then pour the bread-egg mixture into the dish.
  • 1. Fill a multi-functional pressure cooker (like an Instant Pot) with water. Insert trivet and place baking pan on top. Seal the lid, ensuring the vent is closed. Choose high pressure per manufacturer's instructions and set timer for 15 minutes. Let pressure build for 10-15 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, safely release pressure using the manufacturer's natural-release method. Carefully unlock and lift off the lid, then use the trivet handles to take out the baking dish.
