Hearty hamburger soup with vegetables and barley, made effortlessly in the Instant Pot®.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 (14.5 ounce) cans beef consomme
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 4 carrots, finely chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons pearl barley
  • 1 bay leaf
Instructions:
  • Heat up your Instant Pot® using the Saute function. Brown the beef and onion together for 5 to 10 minutes. Add in the beef consomme, tomatoes, water, and tomato soup. Mix in the carrots, celery, barley, thyme, and bay leaf.
  • Secure the lid tightly. Choose the Soup function and adjust the timer to 30 minutes. Let the pressure build for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Allow the pressure to release naturally following the manufacturer's instructions for about 10 minutes.
