Effortlessly cook frozen salmon fillets in the Instant Pot without needing to defrost. Elevate the dish with a flavorful honey mustard sauce if desired.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (6 ounce) fillets frozen salmon fillets
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup water, or as needed
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
Instructions:
  • Season frozen salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper. Set up the pressure cooker by adding a trivet and 1 cup of water, making sure the water does not cover the trivet. Arrange the seasoned fillets skin-side down in a single layer on the trivet.
  • Seal the lid securely and set the pressure to high per the manufacturer's guidelines. Cook under pressure for 4 minutes, then let pressure naturally release for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Carefully quick-release pressure following the manufacturer's instructions as soon as cooking time ends, for about 5 minutes.
  • Combine the sweet honey, tangy mustard, and smooth olive oil in a small bowl.
  • Position the oven rack 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler on high. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • Carefully remove the lid from the Instant Pot®. Place cooked fillets on the baking sheet, skin-side down, and spread half of the honey-mustard glaze over each fillet.
  • Broil the salmon fillets until perfectly cooked. Enjoy immediately.
