Elevate broccoli with spicy, tangy, and crunchy Asian kung pao for a burst of flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons sambal oelek (chile paste)
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 6 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons chopped roasted peanuts
  • 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sambal oelek, sherry, and garlic. Transfer the sauce to a multi-functional pressure cooker, like an Instant Pot. Place a steamer basket on top of the sauce and add broccoli to the basket. Seal the lid, select high pressure, and set the timer for 0 minutes following the manufacturer's instructions. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
  • Using caution, release pressure swiftly following the manufacturer's guidelines for approximately 5 minutes. Remove the steamer basket and transfer the broccoli into the sauce. Mix well to ensure even coating.
  • Arrange the broccoli on serving plates and top with peanuts and green onions for a beautiful finishing touch.
