Decadent Irish whiskey pound cake is rich and moist.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 6 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground mace
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger Irish whiskey
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare a tube pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • Using an electric mixer, whip the butter and cream cheese in a large bowl until fluffy. Mix in the sugar until fully incorporated, resulting in a lighter mixture. Add eggs one at a time, ensuring each is well combined before adding the next. Incorporate 2 tablespoons of flour with the last egg. Gently mix in the remaining 2 cups of flour, followed by the mac, vanilla, and whiskey. Pour the batter into the prepared tube pan.
  • Bake in a preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 1 hour. Allow to cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
