Try these quick and cheesy Italian soy burgers for a satisfying dinner in no time!
Ingredients:
  • 4 frozen soy-protein burgers or soy-protein vegetable burgers
  • 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 4 teaspoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, cut in half, sliced
  • 1 small red bell pepper, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 1 small green bell pepper, cut into 1/4-inch strips
  • 4 hot dog buns, split
  • 1/2 cup tomato pasta sauce, heated
Instructions:
  • Place the burgers on a large microwavable plate, uncovered, and microwave on High for 2 to 3 minutes, turning once, until they are thawed. In a medium bowl, combine the thawed burgers, cheese, and Italian seasoning. Shape the mixture into 16 balls.
  • Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook the burger balls, turning frequently, until browned. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
  • In the same skillet, warm the remaining 2 teaspoons of oil over medium heat. Cook the onion and bell peppers until they are crisp-tender, stirring frequently.
  • Place 4 juicy burger balls into each soft bun, then generously top with the fresh vegetable mixture and serve alongside a side of rich pasta sauce.
