Italian Sausage Lasagna Skillet

Quick and easy skillet pasta dish bursting with classic flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb sweet Italian sausage
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 large red bell pepper, seeded, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ four cheese lasagna
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
Instructions:
  • In a large nonstick skillet, sauté sausage and onion over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes until slightly pink. Add mushrooms and bell pepper, cook until sausage is no longer pink. Mix in milk, hot water, and sauce mix from the Hamburger Helper™ box. Add uncooked pasta from the box, bring to a boil, then simmer covered for 9 to 11 minutes until pasta is tender and sauce thickens. Stir in vinegar before serving.
  • Sprinkle with cheese and allow it to sit covered for 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is perfectly melted.
