Cheesy, seasoned stuffed chicken breasts, baked in spaghetti sauce for a delicious Italian twist.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups shredded Italian cheese blend
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup Italian-seasoned bread crumbs
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1 cup spaghetti sauce
  • 0.25 cup shredded Italian cheese blend, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect bake.
  • Mix 1 1/2 cups of Italian cheese blend with garlic, basil, and oregano in one bowl. In another bowl, combine Parmesan cheese with bread crumbs.
  • With a sharp knife, slice each chicken breast horizontally, stopping half an inch before reaching the other side. Open the chicken breast like a book and gently pound to flatten. Stuff each breast with Italian cheese blend, then fold over to close. Dip in egg and coat with bread crumbs. Place in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Roast in the preheated oven until the chicken is fully cooked and the juices run clear, approximately 45 minutes. Verify doneness by inserting an instant-read thermometer into the center – it should register at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Once cooked, layer spaghetti sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with 1/4 cup Italian cheese blend. Bake until the sauce is bubbling and the cheese is melted, roughly 5 additional minutes.
