Mouthwatering slow-cooked jackfruit "pulled pork" infused with tangy barbecue sauce and onions - a perfect meat-free alternative with authentic taste and texture!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup chopped Vidalia onion
  • 3 pounds young green jackfruit packed in water, drained
  • 2 cups barbeque sauce, or more to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, warm oil. Cook onion and garlic until slightly softened, approximately 3 minutes. Add jackfruit and cook until lightly browned and most of the moisture is gone, around 10 minutes.
  • Place the jackfruit mixture into a slow cooker and generously coat it with barbecue sauce. Let it cook on Low for about 6 hours, stirring occasionally, until the jackfruit shreds easily with a fork.
