Make-ahead cookies perfect for snacking, ideal for afternoon tea.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup margarine, softened
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon jasmine tea leaves, chopped
Instructions:
  • Cream together the margarine and sugar until light and fluffy in a medium bowl. Add the egg, then the flour, and mix well. Stir in the tea leaves. Shape the dough into a ball, flatten to 1 inch, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 15 minutes until firm.
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Form walnut-sized dough balls and arrange them on cookie sheets, gently pressing to slightly flatten.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the edges turn golden brown. Transfer cookies to wire racks to cool.
