Tangy and sweet green beans with bacon, onion, and vinegar.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 large yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic, or to taste
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 6 cups cut fresh green beans
Instructions:
  • In a large pot over medium heat, sizzle bacon in olive oil until beautifully browned for 7 to 10 minutes. Stir in onion until tender, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Incorporate vinegar, sugar, and garlic into the bacon and onion mix; season with salt and pepper. Pour in chicken stock, stir, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes. Add green beans, coat them, cover, and simmer until tender, about 10 minutes.
