Decadent dairy-free chocolate brownies with peanut butter, applesauce, and a splash of Kahlua for a rich, coffee-infused flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (4 ounce) containers applesauce
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 fluid ounce coffee-flavored liqueur (such as Kahlua®), or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon egg replacer
  • 1 tablespoon honey, or more to taste
  • 1.3333333730698 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.75 cup cocoa powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.66666668653488 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch glass baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, blend together applesauce, sugar, peanut butter, water, coffee-flavored liqueur, egg replacer, honey, and vanilla extract until thoroughly combined.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Stir this mixture into the applesauce mix. Transfer the batter into the baking dish and sprinkle walnuts over the top.
  • Bake in the oven until edges are firm and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs, approximately 18 to 25 minutes.
