Delicious twist on classic biscuits. Enjoy hot with butter, jam, or honey.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.75 cup buttermilk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for a perfect bake.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Add 1/2 cup butter and mix until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in buttermilk. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface and knead for 2 minutes. Shape into a 6x6 inch square on an ungreased baking sheet, then cut into 12 even sections without separating them.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Then, separate into biscuits and serve hot.
