Indulgent Bourbon pecan chocolate brownies – perfect for Father's Day dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup sweet cream butter
  • 4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons bourbon
  • 1 teaspoon Madagascar bourbon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Melt butter and chocolate in a double boiler, stirring often and scraping the sides with a spatula. This should take about 5 minutes. Once completely melted, remove from heat and let cool for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • As the chocolate cools, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • In a bowl, beat eggs with an electric stand mixer or hand mixer until they lighten in color. Add bourbon and vanilla extract. Gradually mix in sugar until well combined. Stir in the chocolate-butter mixture. Gently fold in the flour mixture until fully incorporated, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed. Fold in the pecans, then spread the brownie mixture into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until edges pull away from the sides. Cool completely on a wire rack.
