Classic and refreshing cocktail made with Kentucky bourbon, simple syrup, and fresh mint, served chilled.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 cup roughly chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 8 cups crushed ice, or as needed
  • 32 fluid ounces Kentucky bourbon
  • 8 sprigs fresh mint for garnish
Instructions:
  • Prepare the mint-infused simple syrup in advance: In a small saucepan, bring water, sugar, and chopped mint to a boil over high heat. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the sugar completely dissolves, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and cool. Strain the syrup to remove the mint leaves.
  • Prepare the mint juleps by filling eight glasses with crushed ice, then generously pouring 4 ounces of bourbon and 1/4 cup of mint syrup into each glass. For a sweeter taste, add more syrup as desired. Finish off each drink by garnishing it with a mint sprig.
