Moist Kentucky butter cake soaked in vanilla butter sauce for irresistible flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • cup unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
Instructions:
  • Assemble all ingredients needed for the recipe.
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and prepare a 10-inch Bundt pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • Prepare the cake batter by combining flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl. Using an electric mixer, blend in buttermilk, butter, eggs, and vanilla until smooth, beating for 3 minutes on medium speed. Transfer the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until a wooden toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  • As the cake nears completion, prepare the butter sauce by combining sugar, butter, water, and vanilla in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir and cook until fully melted and well combined, making sure not to bring it to a boil.
  • Take the cake out of the oven and delicately poke holes into the warm cake before drizzling the luscious butter sauce on top.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for approximately 30 minutes before unmolding.
  • Savor every delicious bite!
