Savory beef and macaroni dish with tangy spaghetti sauce, sweet pearl onions, corn, and aromatic Italian seasoning - a family-friendly dinner winner.
Ingredients:
  • 2.5 cups elbow macaroni
  • 0.75 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup frozen pearl onions
  • 1 cup canned corn kernels, drained
  • 1.5 teaspoons Italian seasoning, or more to taste
  • 1 (26 ounce) jar chunky spaghetti sauce (such as Del Monte®)
  • 0.33333334326744 cup shredded Cheddar-Monterey Jack cheese blend
Instructions:
  • 1. Bring a pot of lightly salted water to a vigorous boil. Cook elbow macaroni until al dente, about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain and return to the pot.
  • Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef until partially browned, around 3 to 5 minutes. Add pearl onions, corn, and Italian seasoning. Keep stirring until beef is fully cooked, approximately 2 minutes. Cover the skillet and simmer until onions are heated through, about 3 to 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat and mix the beef with macaroni.
  • Pour the velvety spaghetti sauce generously over the succulent beef and al dente pasta and mix gently until everything is perfectly coated. Heat over a gentle flame, stirring occasionally, until heated through, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Season the pasta mixture with salt and additional Italian seasoning to taste, then sprinkle with a Cheddar-Monterey Jack cheese blend before serving.
