Elevate traditional Syrian hummus with sweet, nutty roasted garlic for a flavorful crowd-pleasing dip.
Ingredients:
  • 5 unpeeled garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 0.5 cup tahini
  • 0.33333334326744 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Take unpeeled garlic cloves and position them at the center of a generous square of aluminum foil. Pour 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the cloves and securely wrap them in the foil.
  • Roast until beautifully golden brown in the preheated oven. Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes after removing from the oven.
  • Remove roasted garlic from peels and place in a food processor. Add garbanzo beans, tahini, lemon juice, cumin, salt, and remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Blend until ultra creamy.
