Killer Artichokes

Grilled artichokes with butter, garlic, and shallots for a flavorful and smoky twist on a classic dish.
Ingredients:
  • 2 artichokes, halved and choke scraped out
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 0.5 cup butter
Instructions:
  • Get the outdoor grill ready on low heat.
  • As you wait, bring a pot of water to a vigorous boil. Add artichokes, season with salt and pepper, then toss in half of the garlic and shallot. Boil for roughly 30 minutes until a fork easily pierces the stem. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat the butter in a small pan over medium heat until melted. Stir in the rest of the garlic and shallot and cook until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  • Place artichoke halves on the preheated grill and brush with melted butter. Grill for 5 to 10 minutes, basting with butter, until lightly toasted. Serve with remaining butter for dipping.
