Elevate kohlrabi with zesty cream sauce & fresh farmer's market leaves for a delightful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch chopped fresh parsley
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream, or as needed
  • 3 kohlrabi, peeled and sliced, kohlrabi leaves reserved
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, or to taste
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch white sugar
Instructions:
  • In a medium pot, gently bring cream to a boil, then add kohlrabi. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until kohlrabi is soft, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Take the kohlrabi out of the sauce and transfer it to a bowl to keep it warm. Raise the heat and simmer the sauce until it thickens, for about 5 minutes. Season the sauce with lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and sugar. Fold in the parsley. Return the kohlrabi to the sauce, ensuring it's well coated, and serve.
