Lasagna a la Florentine

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 bag (5 oz) fresh baby spinach
  • 1 box Hamburger Helper™ lasagna
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the beef and onion until browned and fully cooked, stirring frequently. Remove any excess grease.
  • Add the garlic, tomatoes, and spinach, stirring occasionally, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Combine the sauce mix from the Hamburger Helper box with hot water until dissolved. Mix in milk and uncooked pasta from the box. Bring to a boil.
  • Lower the heat and cover the pot, allowing it to simmer gently for approximately 12 minutes, with an occasional stir, until the pasta is cooked to perfection. Then, mix in the cheese until it melts and incorporates into the dish.
