Layered Peanut Butter Brownies

Decadent chocolate brownie with peanut butter filling and fluffy marshmallow frosting - a heavenly treat for peanut butter fans!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter
  • 0.33333334326744 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (18 ounce) jar peanut butter
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.33333334326744 cup milk
  • 10 large marshmallows
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 (16 ounce) package confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 10x15-inch jellyroll pan.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, gently melt 1 cup of butter with 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, stirring frequently until smooth, for about 5 minutes. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, mix white sugar, flour, and salt together, then add the chocolate mixture. Use an electric mixer on medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes until well blended. Stir in eggs and vanilla extract until combined. Pour the batter into the prepared jellyroll pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes until the edges start to get crispy.
  • Microwave peanut butter for 2 minutes, stirring midway. Drizzle over warm brownies. Refrigerate brownies for 30 minutes.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt 1/2 cup butter with milk and marshmallows, stirring frequently for about 5 minutes. Take off the heat and whisk in 1/4 cup cocoa. Slowly mix in confectioners' sugar until smooth. Spread frosting onto the peanut butter layer of brownies. Refrigerate until firm, approximately 20 minutes.
