Indulgent chocolate sheet cake layered with creamy peanut butter and topped with rich chocolate frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.5 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1.5 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup margarine
  • 6 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 3.5 cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • In a saucepan, melt 1 cup of margarine, mix in 1/4 cup of cocoa, water, eggs, and 1/2 cup of buttermilk. Cook until it bubbles, then remove from heat and set aside.
  • Combine flour, 2 cups sugar, and baking soda in a large bowl. Create a hole in the middle and pour in the chocolate mixture. Stir in vanilla and beat until the batter is smooth. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Then, let it cool.
  • Combine creamy peanut butter and oil in a small bowl, then spread the mixture over the top of the cake. In a saucepan, mix cocoa, margarine, and buttermilk, then bring to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and pour over confectioners' sugar in a large bowl. Beat until smooth and spread over the cake.
