Decadent peanut butter cake filled with rich peanut butter and coated in luscious chocolate fudge frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1.3329999446869 cups white sugar
  • 0.75 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter
  • 1.25 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar hot fudge topping
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease and flour two 9-inch pans. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt, then set aside.
  • Combine butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in peanut butter and vanilla. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk, then pour batter into prepared pans.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Prepare the Frosting and Filling: In a large bowl, cream 3/4 cup butter until smooth. Gradually mix in confectioners' sugar until smooth. Stir in 2 tablespoons milk and vanilla extract. Beat on high speed until fluffy. To make filling, combine 1/2 cup of the butter mixture with 1/2 cup peanut butter. To make the frosting, beat 1/2 cup of cooled hot fudge into the remaining butter mixture.
  • For assembly, start by placing one cake layer on a serving plate, then generously spread the top with the creamy peanut butter filling. Add the second layer on top and elegantly frost the entire cake, including the top and sides, with rich fudge frosting. To serve, gently warm the extra fudge sauce and elegantly drizzle it over the cake.
