Irresistible taco dip stacked with seasoned meat, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, and salsa - a meal-worthy appetizer!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 (1.25 ounce) packages mild taco seasoning mix (such as McCormick®), divided
  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 (16 ounce) package shredded lettuce
  • 1 (8 ounce) jar salsa, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a sizzling skillet, cook the ground beef until beautifully browned and crumbly, which should take about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard any excess grease, then mix in a packet of taco seasoning. Allow the beef to cool down completely.
  • After the beef has cooled, combine sour cream, cream cheese, and the rest of the taco seasoning mix in a bowl until creamy. Spread the mixture evenly over the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Sprinkle half of the cheddar over the sour cream. Layer with seasoned ground beef, lettuce, and remaining cheddar. Spoon salsa over the dip and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
