Lebanese bread salad with toasted pita, sumac, fresh herbs, and mixed vegetables.
Ingredients:
  • 4 radishes, diced
  • 2 pita bread
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 English cucumber, sliced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 0.5 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 0.25 cup chopped fresh mint
  • 0.25 cup lemon juice
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon ground sumac
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then lay your pita bread on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the bread turns a light brown, which should take about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 1 to 2 minutes before breaking the toasted bread into bite-size pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix together lettuce, radishes, cucumber, tomato, garlic, green onions, parsley, mint, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
  • Combine the lemon juice, olive oil, and sumac in a salad dressing bottle with a lid. Shake vigorously until well mixed. Drizzle over the salad and mix gently. Enjoy!
  • Sprinkle toasted pita over salad for a delicious finishing touch.
