Leek and potato mash with sausages

Elevate bangers and mash with creamy leek and potato mash. A must-have in your recipe collection!
Ingredients:
  • 800g brushed potatoes, peeled, chopped
  • 125ml buttermilk
  • 20g butter
  • 8 Thick BBQ Beef Sausages
  • 40.00 ml Traditional Gravy powder
  • Chopped flat-leaf parsley, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, simmer potato in cold water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and mash with buttermilk until smooth using a potato masher or fork.
  • Warm the butter in a frying pan over gentle heat. Sauté the leek, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes until it becomes tender.
  • Top the creamy mashed potatoes with the flavorful leeks, gently mixing them together. Keep warm by covering.
  • Fry sausages in a pan over medium heat, turning occasionally, for 8 mins until cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
  • Mix the gravy powder with 1 cup (250ml) boiling water in a large jug until smooth. Serve the mash and sausages on plates, then top with the gravy and garnish with parsley.
