Lemony marinated chicken breasts, crispy fried and baked in flavorful broth with brown sugar, parsley, and lemon slices. The ultimate show-stopping family dinner!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.33333298563957 cup light brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup chicken broth
  • 6 slices lemon
  • 0.5 cup finely minced fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Marinate the chicken by mixing it with lemon juice in a large resealable plastic bag, removing air, and sealing the bag. Refrigerate overnight, remembering to turn the bag once.
  • Strain 2 tablespoons of marinade from the chicken and discard the rest. Combine flour, salt, paprika, and pepper in a resealable plastic bag. Add chicken breasts individually, seal the bag, and shake to coat thoroughly.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure perfect baking temperature.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and fry the coated chicken until golden brown, for about 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer the chicken to a 9x13 inch baking dish and sprinkle with brown sugar. Combine broth with reserved marinade and pour it over the chicken. Garnish with a lemon slice on each breast and sprinkle with parsley.
  • Place in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes until fully cooked and tender, ensuring the juices run clear.
