Steak Diane: A theatrical and elegant dish, perfect for a homemade gourmet experience.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb boneless beef top sirloin steak, about 3/4 inch thick
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
  • Divide beef into 4 pieces. Spray a 12-inch skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium heat. Season both sides of beef with pepper and cook in the skillet for 9 to 11 minutes until medium doneness (160°F), flipping once. Remove beef from skillet and keep warm.
  • In a small bowl, whisk all ingredients except chives until smooth. Add this mixture to the skillet and bring to a boil. Let it boil for 1 minute while stirring constantly. Finally, mix in the chives and serve the sauce over the beef.
