Lemon whippersnappers: zesty lemon dough balls coated in powdered sugar, reminiscent of chocolate crinkle cookies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
  • 2 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 0.5 cup confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
  • Combine cake mix, whipped topping, and egg in a large bowl. Mix until well combined. Chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours or overnight (or freeze the dough wrapped in plastic).
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C. Grease two cookie sheets or line them with parchment paper before baking.
  • Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and generously coat each ball with confectioners' sugar.
  • Bake the cookies in a preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes until they are set but not browned. Let them cool on a wire rack.
