Elevate your tuna melt with zesty lemon and fresh dill for a burst of flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 6 slices white bread
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the broiler with the oven rack positioned 6 inches away from the heat source. Place the bread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Toast bread in a preheated oven until lightly golden, about 1 minute per side.
  • In a bowl, combine tuna, mayo, lemon juice, lemon zest, and dill. Spread mixture evenly on bread slices. Top with tomato slices and Swiss cheese before serving.
  • Place baking sheet back in the oven and broil for an additional 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
