Whip up a zesty marinated feta spread with lemon, herbs, and a hint of heat. Perfect on buttery toast for an effortless and impressive party appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 4 fresh thyme sprigs
  • 2 fresh oregano sprigs
  • 3 strips (3x1-inch each) lemon peel
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 8 oz feta cheese, cut in 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 can (11 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original French Bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Layer fresh herbs, vibrant lemon slices, peppercorns, and a sprinkle of pepper flakes in a charming pint-sized glass jar. Sprinkle with your favorite cheese and generously pour luscious olive oil over the top. Refrigerate this tempting creation for 3 days before delighting your guests with it alongside crispy toasts. For any remnants, simply cover and store for an additional 4 days of savory enjoyment.
  • Prepare the toasts ahead of time by heating the oven to 350°F. Spray a 15x10x1-inch pan with cooking spray and bake French bread for 24 to 26 minutes until browned. Let it cool for at least 30 minutes, then slice into 1/2-inch slices. Brush with melted butter on both sides, return to the pan, and bake for 10 to 15 minutes, turning once, until light golden brown. Serve and enjoy!
