Try these delectable cookies made with Gold Medal® all-purpose flour - a perfect dessert treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 2 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons grated lime peel
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon grated lime peel
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F (375°F for dark or nonstick cookie sheet). In a medium bowl, use an electric mixer on medium speed to blend butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and lime juice until smooth. Add flour, salt, and 2 teaspoons lime peel and mix until combined.
  • Take level measuring tablespoonfuls of dough and form them into 2-inch long crescent shapes. Place the crescents 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake until edges are golden brown, 6 to 10 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon lime zest with a fork. Coat warm cookies in the sugar mixture, then place them on a wire rack to cool. Roll the cookies in the sugar mixture one more time for extra sweetness.
