Indulgent fried dumplings filled with Lindor chocolates, served with decadent butterscotch sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 12 assorted Lindor chocolate balls
  • 150g (1 cup) plain flour, plus 75g (1/2 cup), extra, to dust
  • 0.63 gm ground cinnamon
  • 160ml (2/3 cup) milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 20.00 gm caster sugar
  • Vegetable oil, to deep-fry
  • Double cream, to serve
  • 140g (2/3 cup, firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 160ml (2/3 cup) thickened cream
  • 50g butter
Instructions:
  • Arrange the Lindor balls neatly on a baking tray and chill in the freezer until extremely firm, for 4-6 hours.
  • In a bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Create a well in the center. In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, and caster sugar. Pour the milk mixture into the well and stir until a smooth batter forms. Let it sit for 10 minutes or until ready to use.
  • In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine brown sugar, thickened cream, and butter. Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes until smooth. Keep covered to stay warm before serving.
  • Prepare a small bowl with the extra flour. Heat oil in a small saucepan until ready. Coat frozen Lindor balls in flour, then batter. Fry in oil until golden, draining on paper towel-lined plate.
  • Drizzle the rich butterscotch sauce into serving bowls, garnish with the indulgent Lindor dumplings, and accompany with a dollop of creamy double cream.
