Indulgent strawberries filled with orange brandy, coated in dark chocolate. Optional white stripes for a professional touch. Addictively delicious treat that's worth the effort.
Ingredients:
  • 16 large fresh strawberries with leaves
  • 0.5 cup brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
  • 1 pound bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 0.25 cup brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
  • 1 (1 ounce) square chopped white chocolate
Instructions:
  • Wash and pat dry strawberries. Fill a syringe with 2 teaspoons of brandy and inject into each berry. Arrange on a baking sheet and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Create a double boiler by placing a metal bowl over simmering water. Melt bittersweet chocolate and shortening until smooth. Mix in heavy cream and 1/4 cup brandy. In a separate bowl, melt white chocolate similarly. Remove from heat as soon as it's nearly melted to avoid overheating the white chocolate.
  • Immerse strawberries in chocolate, allowing the extra to drip off into the bowl before arranging them on waxed paper to dry. Once all strawberries are coated, swirl a fork in white chocolate and drizzle it over the berries in a decorative pattern.
