Transform store-bought ice cream into whimsical funfetti ice cream balls for the kids.
Ingredients:
  • 70g (1/2 cup) cornflour
  • 1 x 2L ctn vanilla ice-cream
  • 200g white chocolate melts
  • 90g (1/3 cup) hundreds and thousands
Instructions:
  • Pour hot water into a small jug. In a bowl, put the cornflour. Dip a melon baller in the hot water and dry quickly using a tea towel. Scoop out a ball of ice-cream with the melon baller and toss it in the cornflour to coat. Roll the ball with your hands until smooth, then place it on a baking tray. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze. Repeat the steps to make 20 balls. Freeze for 2 hours until firm.
  • Put the chocolate melts in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on Medium for 1 minute. Stir with a metal spoon. Microwave for another 1 minute until almost melted. Stir until smooth. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
  • Dip each ice-cream ball into the luscious melted chocolate using a fork for a perfect coating. Sprinkle with colorful hundreds and thousands and place on a clean baking tray. Repeat with all ice-cream balls, chocolate, and sprinkles. Freeze in an airtight container for 30 minutes until firm.
