Indulgent jalapeno poppers stuffed with sausage, cream cheese, and Parmesan - a show-stopping appetizer for any gathering.
Ingredients:
  • 12 jalapeno peppers, seeded
  • 8 ounces turkey breakfast sausage (such as Bob Evans®), casings removed
  • 2 cups finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 (1 ounce) package dry ranch-flavored seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic, or more to taste
  • 1.5 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions:
  • Prepare a bowl with ice water and set aside. Trim the bottom of each pepper to prevent rolling during baking.
  • Bring a pot of water to a vigorous boil. Gently lower each pepper into the boiling water and cook for 2 minutes. Transfer peppers to a bowl of ice water to cool.
  • Brown turkey sausage in a skillet over medium heat for about 3 minutes. Drain excess fat before adding Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, ranch-flavored seasoning, and garlic.
  • Once the peppers have been removed from the water and drained, stuff each one generously with the sausage mixture, creating a nice rounded mound. Arrange the filled peppers on a baking sheet and transfer it to the freezer until they are just frozen, approximately 20 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine bread crumbs with decadent melted butter and evenly press onto the top of the savory sausage filling.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the bread crumbs turn golden brown and the cheese begins to bubble.
