London Broil Beef Brisket with Lemon Mayonnaise

Slow-cooked seasoned beef brisket with zesty lemon mayo sauce - effortless and succulent.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 5-pound fresh beef brisket (not corned beef), trimmed of fat
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning salt
  • 3 tablespoons grated lemon peel
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons grated gingerroot
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Season beef with 1/2 teaspoon of lemon pepper seasoning salt and brown on both sides. Transfer beef to a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Combine 3 tablespoons of lemon peel, gingerroot, and soy sauce in a small bowl, then spoon over the beef.
  • Slow cook covered on low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
  • Slice the beef thinly against the grain. Combine mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, and 1/2 teaspoon of lemon pepper seasoning salt in a small bowl. Serve the sliced beef with the lemony mayonnaise mixture.
