Savor a decadent yet light panna cotta dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 520.00 gm buttermilk
  • 40.00 gm caster sugar
  • 1 vanilla bean, split
  • 6.00 gm powdered gelatine
  • 400g can sliced peaches
Instructions:
  • Prepare four 1/2 cup panna cotta moulds by lightly greasing them. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine buttermilk, sugar, and a vanilla bean. Stir occasionally for 6 to 8 minutes until heated through but not boiling. Remove from heat. Strain the mixture into a heatproof bowl and sprinkle with gelatine. Whisk until the gelatine dissolves. Let it cool for 10 minutes.
  • Divide the mixture among the prepared moulds and place a layer of plastic wrap on top. Let it chill in the refrigerator for 4 hours or until firm.
  • Gently slide a round-bladed knife around the edge of each panna cotta, then unmold onto plates. Top with peaches and syrup, and serve.
